NOTICE OF ADDITIONAL RULEMAKING HEARING
The Department of Finance and Administration’s Local
Government Division (the Division) is proposing to repeal and replace the New
Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC) rule 10.6.2 NMAC, Procedures Local
Government Law Enforcement Agencies to address liability associated with allowable
use of fees and align with updates to New Mexico law.
Section 63-9D-8, NMSA 1978, as amended, requires Local
Government Division to administer the Enhanced 911 Fund.

hearing is in addition to the hearings previously held on July 11, 2025, and
August 29, 2025. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide
comments on the proposed rule replacement.

The LGD proposes to implement
this rule effective December 1, 2025.
A public hearing
to receive testimony on this proposed rule will be held on October 24, 2025, at
9:00 a.m. The hearing will be held at
the New Mexico Public Education Department, Marbry Hall Auditorium, 300 Don
Gaspar Avenue, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501.
