Proposed LIHEAP State Plan
The New Mexico Health Care
Authority (HCA) is required by Federal Law to file a State Plan that describes how the
Authority will administer the State’s
Low Income Home Energy
Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The
State Plan must be submitted every year to the United States Department of Health and Human Services
(DHHS), Administration for Children
and Families (ACF). The
Authority is required to offer
a 30-day comment period and
conduct a public hearing for the LIHEAP State Plan that includes Weatherization
prior to submittal.
The Authority proposes the
New Mexico LIHEAP State Plan covering the period of October 1, 2026,
to September 30, 2027. All comments received
will be considered for the New Mexico
LIHEAP State Plan.
