This is an amendment to 16.36.6 NMAC, Sections 8 & 9 effective 12/23/2025.

16.36.6.8 FEES: All fees are payable to the board and are non-refundable. Fees are as follows:

A. establishment license (original) $300;

B. establishment license (renewal) $300;

C. apprentice sponsor application $50;

D. apprentice sponsor license (original/renewal) $100;

E. apprentice license (original and renewal) $50;

F. practitioner license per specialty (original) $100;

G. practitioner license per specialty (renewal) $100;

H. permanent cosmetic license (original) $100;

I. permanent cosmetic license (renewal) $100;

J. administrative fee (electronic list) $100;

K. duplicate licenses $25;

L. late fee $35;

M. administrative fee (return payment fee) $35;

N. re-inspection fee $50;

O. administrative licensing (electronic processing) fee per year $10.

16.36.6.9 CONTINUING EDUCATION (CEU) REQUIRED TO OBTAIN OR MAINTAIN AN *ACTIVE* LICENSE: A individual who has submitted records or completion, or a attestation on their renewal application as evidence of compliance with CEU requirements and is found, as the result of a random audit, not to be in compliance will be subject to a minimum fine determined by the board and any other penalties deemed appropriate by the board as permitted by Subsection B of Section 61-17B-16 NMSA 1978 of the Body Art Safe Practices Act.
